2019 Volvo FE 350 6x2 Lorry Truck seen from outside and inside. The vehicle has D8, 350 hp EURO 6 engine, 1,400 Nm torque. Transmission is i-Shift. Wheel formula 6x2. Wheelbase 4,750 mm. Comfort cab. Rear axle - Single axle with simple translation. Front suspension on air. Rear suspension on air. Middle chassis height. Motor brake/decompression brake. Deep side window. Lane assistant. Emergency brake assistant. Turn assistant from Wüllhorst Fahrzeugbau.
The truck was presented at 2018 IAA commercial vehicles, Hannover, Germany - Thursday, 20 September - Thursday, 27 September 2018.

My current personal experience with a Volvo FE 350: I'm a Finnish refuse truck driver and my previous employer had mostly Scania P370s and P320s, but also a couple of Volvo FE 320s. Nowadays I drive an FE 350 daily and... The day cab is noticeably smaller compared to the Scania. 2 people and their winter/rain clothing fit just barely with all the necessary computer and other equipment that comes with a modern refuse truck. The steering is quite light, which is nice in tight spaces, but on the other hand, lacks feedback when the road conditions are getting slippery. The 8 liter 350 hp engine is ok for a 3-axle, 26 ton truck, but the Scania 13-liter 370 hp engine has substantially more torque, and thus feels a lot quicker and keeps the revs much lower. In practice, fuel consumption of the 13-liter Scania truck was the same or even a bit lower compared to the Volvo. Even the Scania 320 hp engine felt more powerful in real work, but fuel consumption wasn't any better. The side mirrors of the Volvo are bad compared to the Scania IMHO. They cause massive blind spots when you are approaching a junction, and in tight spaces, when you need to see both the ground next to the truck as well as where the roofline is... well, the view in the mirrors is not quite tall enough, unfortunately. In the P-series Scanias, the mirrors are slimmer, but taller and have less blind spots in junctions. Reliability in my experience: Volvo FEs have had a lot of rear axle steering failures and engine coolant leaks/hose bursts. The Scanias have been much more reliable in daily use, but DPF issues have sometimes forced trips to the service center. I'm quite sure this offering from Volvo is a rebadged Renault. Even the wheels, hubs, and many controls in the dashboard are exactly the same as in a Renault truck.

​@@Hirudov Oh well. A couple of days ago I realized that the DPF in our current Volvo is getting full because it can't do a good enough regeneration during the driving. Ok... just push the button and wait for 45 mins. Nope..., first the truck indicated that we have a DPF fault and we should contact a service center. Ok... the DPF wasn't too full and we managed to get by for a day of normal driving, but... Today we realized that there was no apparent way of manually switching off the PTO completely b/c the truck (a Volvo lease truck) had a Joab refuse packer. And because of that, the stationary DPF regeneration was impossible. Ok... My colleague drove the truck to the local service center today and I really hope they can resolve the issue. Otherwise, we are f*cked.

...And problem solved. The DPF regeneration problem was caused by the Joab refuse packer. Driver can't switch off the PTO manually, there is no switch or option on the computer. But, when the packer is completely empty, the PTO should be automatically off as long as there is absolutely no load on the truck. Disaster avoided and it wasn't really a Volvo problem. :)

I want this lorry in USA! Most of USA lorry or box truck model are terrible quality and lack of driver comfortably and safety features ! Please bring this model to USA!

interior of the cab looks like iveco 2010 quality same lack of quality materials. i wonder on a 70 000 euros chasis truckprice without lease how much they have markup ...
