Hello, it's great to see that they've given you one of the best trucks on the road(the other ones also start with the letter V) my younger brother also drives a 540i-shift, great trucks, bit better than the Scania 500 he drove before. Ive been following you for a couple of months now and really enjoy your travels around spain&france, takes me back to when I was in transport many years ago. Enjoy the Volvo and if your boss goes to take it off you we will get a petition going to change his mind(unless it's to give you a new one) 😂. Tack care out there, & Keep Trucking x

Another great vlog. I’m totally with you regarding the gearbox situation the Volvo I shift is the only automated box around that works. Traxon, which is fitted to DAF, MAN and Iveco is useless . How ridiculous that you can no longer spec a manual on any make of truck anymore. Or if you still can, the price is outrageous.

The iShift gearbox is brilliant. I was lucky enough to test drive a Volvo FH fitted with a 750 engine, loaded to 75 tons at the track in Gothenburg. The rig pulled away really smoothly and it drove with the agility of a car. Absolutely no effort for the engine and gearbox. I’m sure you’ll love your new truck.

I’ve got a dual clutch FH. Gearbox still makes me smile it’s amazing. My cabs not as well specced as that and as a result I’m not a big fan of the cab bang your head a lot of your tall!

Hi darling looks a very nice bit I'm surprised it hasn't got the new style of side mirrors I was travelling on a bus he had the the new style of mirror which is inside and the and the camera outside I could have done with that oh how I hated mirrors freezing up freezing up and 3 inches of ice on the mirror arm another very enjoyed video you stay safe out there ❤️

the other good bit is the fact you can leave the retarder on and when you have cruise engaged flick in and out the retarder acts and you find you have very little brake use, great vlogs enjoy the fact you are going into really tight situations not just in and out of rdc's etc, regards John

Wow nice tidy truck

My mate used to have that truck, it’s a 540 dual clutch which is the reason it’s so smooth, I’ve got 2 on my fleet and they are unreal, I think the “front volvo camera” you mentioned is actually the rain sensor for the auto wipers.

Beautiful truck. Hope you put the camera at the middle of the cab, for an overview when you drive. 🤩💛👍

I have a friend that drives Scania and Volvo. He says the same about the gearbox, and he says the steering in the Volvo is better, especially under heavy load. He doesn't like the Volvo handbrake (he is not the only one) and he thinks that Volvo's front screen is too small. I am sure you will be happy with your transformer. Edit: I don't know if you have had a truck, fully on air before, just remember if you are loading manually, you can use the air to roll downhill both ways. It really is nice. Edit: Just saw your Gibraltar video and I now know that you are very familiar withe air suspension. Did not try to be patronizing.

The lorry looks amazing with so much technology. Hopefully, it's a pleasure to drive. I love Nescafe vanilla or caramel coffee lol. Technical question how do you keep from chipping your nails and if the truck is in ferry mode and you drive off the ferry will the truck let you know you need to change the air pressure? Really enjoying these vids.

Volvo probably the best inc the dealerships.

Ferry mode is when you lift the front and rear suspension to its highest so it doesn’t bottom out going on the boat
