The old format was incredibly expensive to produce, and given the way KZfaq’s current algorithm works against channels like ours, we simply can’t afford to make them any more. This new format is a trial on our part, but if they too don’t get sufficient views, we’ll have to give up I’m afraid. On the subject of length, the stats show the vast majority of people tune out after 3 mins or so - if people consistently only watch 50% of our videos, KZfaq downranks us even further.

As opposed to diesel or PHEVs? People are moving away from diesel in huge numbers thanks to dieselgate, recent changes in government policy, and the fear of new and punitive taxes. T8 is great, but Christ is it expensive.

TestDriven Yes I know about the sentiment on diesels, and if I were to buy a saloon or a small car nowadays I'd get a petrol too, in a heartbeat. But the way I see it, if you get an SUV or van, you really need a diesel for the extra torque and improved economy. My cousin has a citroen berlingo with a small petrol engine and he gets about 11 litres per 100 km fuel economy. That's just because the engine has to work so hard as it has very little torque. It is naturally aspirated but still, even if it were turbo charged, I feel like he'd been better off with a diesel.

No argument from me on that one. Taking it further, my daily driver is a Hilux... can’t see anyone rushing to buy a petrol pickup any time soon.
