He was a King-substitute- most German conservatives wanted the Kaiser back, or his son. Hindenburg was their substitute. If he had restored the monarchy, history would have been very different.

How do he restore the monarchy? The UK, France and the US won't allow it. And Social Democrats Party would have resisted vehemently.

@@ScriptedLinksit would be possible. Of hitler managed to outlaw other parties and make Germany a dictator what would not make him return the monarchy? He did not just want to. Thats it.
