Software like this is crucial for old software preservation. As the hardware evolves many games and programs will be soon impossible to run, and keping always an older system for later compatibility is not an option for everyone.

Hi. My real PC have Ryzen 5600x and 3070ti and I had a lot of stuttering sound, just like you (emulation speed between 85-94% during playing Europe Racer from Davilex). So I changed CPU to VIA and set it as Cyrix III/500 (Leave machine setting as Slot1 - Gigabyte, just like on your clip) . On second tab (video) I used Voodoo Banshee (reference) and set memory size to 16MB and bilinear filtering. No more slow emulation (99% - 101%) and you have more video memory for more demanding games :).

I have to try this, I have used other VM software but haven't been able to play some 3DFx games. This one seems to work better for that. Thanks for the video 😀

i`m testing new fork of this emulator it seems it have support of Voodoo 3500 and P2 600Mhz :) some kind it overclock it i will post new video soon

hello i saw you have channel for 3dfx cards how much is 3dmark result on real voodoo3 compared to my score ?

@@mr.iot-tech278 a result of 2000 in 3dmark 2000 is way too low for a Voodoo 3. 3dmark results: Voodoo 3 2000 (143 mhz) - 3000 Voodoo 3 3000 (166 mhz) - 3500 Voodoo 3 3500 (183 mhz) - 3800

in my case emulated CPU is Pentium2 450Mhz maybe i need to try how will be with AMD k6-2 that support 3dnow

@@mr.iot-tech278 could be that you got a score of 2000 because of the emulated 450 mhz P2. Unfortunately the slowest CPU I have is a Duron 800 mhz which evidently is almost 2x faster than a 450 mhz P2.

Wow, P2 emulated 100% how strongly pc you have, that's fantastic. I'm really interesting about 2 questions: Ryzen 5500, 16 GB ram, GTX 1660S is enough to emulate P2 400mhz CPU and voodoo 3 and second question: od better to install Windows 98 or Windows Me on it?

If you have amd try with K6-2 option, my pc is 12600k@5,1Ghz 6Pcores E cores are disabled.

It's not emulated 100% a lot of the time. Keep your eye on the percentage. That's why the audio constantly glitches, too.

Can you do a tutorial on how to install PCEM on Linux and on a Raspberry PI 4B or 400. As well as how to create a 504MB hard drive and 2GB under DOS. From MS-DOS you could create a hard disk up to 2GB. Under Windows 95 also up to 32GB and Windows 98 up to 127GB hard disks. Can you make a guide about how to calculate the hard drive image size? I would be very grateful... Thanks in advance if you do a tutorial like this. I have all my retro stuff on a Raspberry PI not a PC. Unfortunately I don't know how to install PCEM on Linux and Raspberry Pi.

It will be slow on Raspberry Pi you need very fast PC to do this emulation.
