Because its closer to glitch hop than dubstep. It's true that its 140bpm halftime, but bpm doesn't determine everything. Sound design and composition play a part, as well, and this leans very heavily on tried and true glitch hop sound design and syncopation. Glitch hop in general tends to sit around 110bpm, but unlike a lot of other genres, glitch hop has always cared more about what I mentioned above than bpm. So there's nothing wrong with glitch hop being played a little bit faster than usual, in the same way that dubstep itself tends to lean more towards 150bpm these days.

well ,that was the most stupid take i've ever seen and no mention the importance of the timbre of electronic synths/sound ,where in electronic music it's already a tradition to care more about timbre and base the compositional elements out of existing timbres, which take most of the sound spectrum anyways. what is the point of shoving additional miles of harmony/melody/harmonic content ,where it's all contained within the harmonics of existing instruments? electronic music can be specifically minimal for such purposes ,so there is room for these specific timbres to shine. neither he makes classical music or nor he is like haywyre ,who has his focus on melodical/harmonic part of electronic music more as of recent. it's his method of composition. go listen to bach chorales or something ,please.
