Thes Vostok Precision Class is a Soviet wristwatch with movement 2809 with 22 jewels.
Its 2809 movment is gold plated and is based on the the chronometer class Swiss Zenith 135.

Thank you for sharing. I own a Volna, cal 2809, gold color mvt. A watch that is well worth investing in.

Note the geartrain, it supports both direct centre seconds & direct sub seconds. If you have a look under the train bridge side on, there’s 2 wheels on the same pivots supporting this. Well so this has been explained to me.

Thanks for the review, which had alot of good information about a watch that has been on my radar for along time. With so many francan watches coming out of the former Soviet Bloc the problem is finding the genuine article. You've obviously been down this road many times so it would be interesting to hear your comments on purchasing Soviet watches in a future video.

Часы хороши! У меня их трое. Очень жаль, что у вашего экземпляра новодельный, хоть и красивый и хорошо сделанный, циферблат.

Я думаю что самым ценным и самым сложным в этих часах является механизм. Он оригинальный и по-видимому сохраняет паспортную точность.

The movement is gold plated and so is not first generation.

Не факт! Мои часы имеют ранний логотип предприятия производителя, дату изготовления часов - третий квартал 1958 года и позолоченный механизм.

@@user-fx9yl2rh2d Early logo, not gilded and manufacture date of 1957 second month, chrome plated brass case and as accurate as a modern Rolex once regulated :) Maybe your bridge has been replaced during service? Nice watch!

@@azekuka3478 silver tarnishes with age unless polished. Chrome plated brass does not. If Vostok had put this movement in an Amphibia case they would have had a Russian version of the Rolex Submariner.
