The 'Double Projectile' Bug has been stated to be fixed as of 12.6.7 However I havn't had a chance to check. Igolnik will now be 3 shots for every armour (not including frag)

The 2 hit 1 bullet has been around for ages (at the very least last wipe). I just assumed it was entry/exit fragmentation

Ammo is everything in this game. Unlike other shooters, the gun itself is only relevant for base stats / modability and does nothing damagewise (at least until they implement barrel length). Don't cheap out on ammo.

Same, I remember I got out of woods once and it said "Ammo used: 1. Hit Count: 2." and i was like "uhhhhhh"

this also applies to shotguns, the ammo used is going to be 1 and say you used a 12 guage, most shells have anywheres from 8-12 pellets in them, and each individual pellet counts towards hitcount, so in the summary, if you were to have shot 1 time with a shotgun and everyhting hit, you may very well have anywheres between 8-12 hitcount. same goes for fragmentations, a fragment counts as 2 extra bullets, each bullet does an extra 25%, so in short, a frag bullet does 150% damage compared to a standard non fragmented round.

Died to Killa and the after raid report showed six colatterals from my left arm. I was hit 3 times by igolnik. For every round of igolnik that hit my arm it fragmented twice. What even happened?

You can bet if 5.45 is doing this then the other calibers are probably doing something similar. This might indicate a major issue with the core coding for ballistics. Heres the thing, this game is about shooting things with bullets. If those bullets are broken it breaks the core reason for playing the game. BSG need to get all over data like this and do their own foot work to boot where they can spawn things ad nauseam for testing. Well done Vox mate

The fact that the most fundamental feature in an FPS (bullet damage calculation) works in such incomprehensible and weird ways, its infuriating. I seriously don't understand the reasoning that makes them not want to disclose the code behind it, especially since it's full of hidden stats that require datamining to be (partially) understood.

This explains a lot, ive recently been getting 1 tapped to thorax where on my end i only appear to be shot once but end game screen shows like 4 hits, been thinking i was getting 1 tapped to the head but it always shows 2 or 4 hits in my thorax when i only got hit once

Awesome video; deeply appreciate the time and effort placed in testing, editing, and even having the willpower to retest repeatedly to ensure your tests were valid. My question is did this only affect 7n39? And what if the bullet fragments? Does it only count as one hit with bonus damage or two with bonus damage (potentially allowing 7n39 to one shot through class 6). It's possible this is due to tarkov's system of hitting multiple limbs being bugged for these rounds, so it's allowing two thorax strikes. I don't think it's an exit wound, as in many cases an exit wound is preferable to none (irl) to prevent internal damage, like the game's fragmentation system. Anyway, spectacular video! Look forward to more content and a comment from Nikita.

You should test 5.45 PP as well, you can get it early from Prapor lvl 2 and it's really competitive with BP

I only use 7n39 because when you do finally encounter that slick plate carrier bs will kill a fraction slower and every millisecond counts in combat.

i feel like this extra damage has been happening for me on mosins too. I've been onetapping people in the chest with SNB while they wear armor but it doesnt even do as much damage as the thorax has hp ?

this happens with snb too. The amount of time ive gotten 1 tapped by snb and it telling me ive been shot twice (mosling) despite only hearing one shot is insane.

Pretty sure with SNB its working as intended with fragmentation. There's always a chance for multiple hits with fragments, and I know that SNB doesnt do it 100% of the time like it does with 7n39 and BS here, so I'm pretty sure its just fragments

Maybe hit count is 2 when the bullet passes through body?, ie there are 2 bulletholes in your body. So hit count is the number of holes on your body(except asshole, mouth etc)

@@Turgz You say that like its universal, but for some ammo its the other way around. 855 and 855a1 is heavily underperforming in game compared to what it does IRL, so are helmets and faceshields. You wont find a faceshield IRL capable of stopping multiple round sof 855 like the altyn. Its a game. There's some stuff in there for balance reasons

Maybe the issue is tied to either being a real player, or the need of having any armor on you. At times I feel like I can tank more bullets when I am without any armor at all when meeting the high tier ammo compared to when I have full armor against the same ammunition.

PP may only have 2 less pen than BP but that’s pretty significant as it has 1/2 the chance to pen lvl 4 than BP (~9-10% rather than BP’s 20%, which will significantly increase the kill time)

In real life 7n6 ammo cant be imported anymore to the U.S.(cause the atf hates freedom and common sense) but you can still get it for 20 cents a round.

Why would anyone need armour piecing rounds? Law enforcement service should be able to wear body armour and feel somewhat safe. They protect your freedom

i.imgur.com/GdZ1UZW.png 7N1 does this had 3 kills that game 2 were headshots to scavs and one was a player shot one guy 4 times he just eats it....this games beyond fucking broken. love the part where im apparently in every potential twitch clip running head shot moving erradically headshot. I get headshot more in this game in 3 days then i did in a month playing CSGO during its peak lotta pro gamers in tarkov i guess

I'm pretty sure the double bullet bug applies to some other ammos as well. Maybe not as consistent however. I've encountered a concerning high amount of one taps through brand new level 4 and 5 armors this wipe by SVDs (Not mosins, but hey, same round, might apply as well). Great vid!

That makes a lot of sense now, there were raids where Id get more hits but less ammo used on my AKs and I thought I mustve hit his arm and the bullet penetrated to his chest or something to that effect. Good to know that I should be way more afraid of igolnik rounds now lol

At the moment, I stick with BT. It's still pretty early in the wipe so not many people will be running anything beyond class 4, and BS / 7N39 are both so much more expensive.
