Here is the story of an active wolf den this spring and how a female wolf had to save her 7 pups as the den began to flood. This is without a doubt the best glimpse into what happens at an active wolf den in the Greater Voyageurs Ecosystem that we have ever seen. We feel incredibly fortunate to have captured this footage.

I love how intent she looks. Very focused. She was moving fast. She very clearly knew what was happening and was very focused on saving her babies. Just like a human mother would be.

After sadly watching of Investigation Discovery, I’ve seen most human mothers be such selfish, uncaring, neglectful - even worse - violent, brutal, abusive and disgustingly remorseless and irresponsible to do such things against their own children or even abandoning them. So this mother wolf is 10 times better and a real parent than those hairless and heartless creatures that don’t deserve to have the title of Mom.

Call it a mother's intuition. Doesn't matter the species. She sees & hears what's happening beforehand & she was super stressed about it. But, she kept a cool head & got her little ones out safely & in record time. I'd love to know exactly how quickly she got them all out. Something tells me, I don't think they'll be using this den for a while or perhaps never.

This video is from the spring of 2019 and it is currently Feb. 2020. Has anything ever been learned about these 7 pups since the video was made and posted here?
@VoyageursWolfProject
@VoyageursWolfProject 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, we believe that only 1 of the 7 pups survived to the fall. We know for certain that 2 of the pups died because a wolf from the neighboring pack came and killed them in late July. We believe only 1 survived because we got lots of footage of only one pup traveling around with the adults.

Wolf and other predators and even not predators can be annoying to Humans, but problem is Humans have grabed too much wild lind for themself and there are not enought natural ares to feed and shelter animals. I always cry out when i see any one takes beoutiful landscape and decided there should be new development area for hundreads of homes, new markets. But this is also problem with greedy government. People usually own big lands and not everyone wishes to build there structures some just wish to have nice place to camp. But government say you own land you pay for its ownership and so people are forced to turn they natural retreat what is full of natural life to profit to hold on thouse lands. So removing land Tax on country areas would save alot of future areas from development.

But wolves are indeed pests for ranchers, just like mosquitos are for us. If a video was shown about mosquitos saving their babies, the same wouldn't be said. A good rancher firstly warns off the wolves if they step close to their cattle but if the wolf continously stays persistent and kills some of them, then the rancher has to take action. Nature is really tough and especially if somebody chooses to live out there. Society has become too soft. Here's something that may shock you. In order to make cheese, rennet has to be collected from killing a newborn of a cattle (maybe around 2 weeks old) and processing it so it can become rennet. Newborns have a substance that is used to make cheese or else if the newborn is older, it's useless (for the cheesemaking process). This has been happening for many centuries from wives at home and that's how cheese is made. Back then, women used to be softer than men and they still did such a thing.

They where there 1st when he built his house, so he just made-sure know-one messed with them, and they all became tamed after several years like OUR family of feral cat’s that jumped our fence back in 2007; they all became tamed with time & human contact. 👍🏽🥰🐾❤️🐾

The thing is that's the problem if the wolves ever came across a hunter,road,city, Ect they'd probably get shot/killed but if they still didn't trust humans they would know to stay away sorry that this is long
@vrana8827
@vrana8827 3 жыл бұрын
The mother clearly knew what to do, human intervention should be as limited as possible. I think, as bad as it sounds, we should just intervene when single humans or humanity as a whole is the reason for something bad happening. If we would rescue every single wolf we would intervene in evolution and we could weaken whole species, to the point where they can't live without us. If the pups would die it's reasonable to think that the mother might be a 'bad mom' or food was less. There is always a reason why thinks are happening in nature. If there would be no food, less pups have to survive, get born, so that the adults and adolescents can survive. I hope you understand what I mean.
