For the past few weeks, farmers have parked their tractors in The Hague and (sometimes literally) in front of pretty much every regional government in The Netherlands.
The highly agricultural country is dealing with a nitrogen problem. Part of the nitrogen-containing substances that cause it is from across the border and petrol-consuming cars.
Most of the harmful nitrogen, however, comes from cattle. The agricultural sector is, therefore, the one responsible for finding a solution to the nitrogen problem, and that calls for radical change.
