VR Physics Body in Unreal 5.1 (snapshot)

Hey, it's been a while!
That's because I've been learning C++ and the new Unreal Engine 5.1!
The entire VR system I've shown in previous videos has been scrapped and I'm rebuilding it from the ground up in C++, taking a lot of time to revise and improve it along the way.
The fullbody system is much more streamlined now, and I'm excited to continue my work.
Thank you for all the comments on previous videos, they've been an amazing source of motivation and I'm so happy to see other people interested in this system!
UNREAL 5.1
5.1 offers a ton of great features for VR, and paired with programming, I've been hard at work exploring all the options this combo gives!
- Nanite and Lumen for VR (works in a hacky sort of way)
- Much improved physics (there is no grab logic in this video, just pure collision goodness!)
- Fleshed out control rigs with tons of new features
FUTURE
This is a short snippet - I'm uploading a longer clip soon once I've completed the grab mechanic and figured out the 5.1 enhanced input system.

There is already a product like that for UE4 on the marketplace. I don't remember the name but it should not be hard to find.

for grabbing add VR handles, it would look a lot better.

This demonstration doesn't have any grabbing logic or physical interaction beyond pure collision - the next update will show a system that uses physics constraints

What would happen if you put both of your hands inside it and then moved them apart?

If you use enough force they will clip through each other - this is to prevent 'snagging' and is also just the way physics works in UE5. Generally I'd like to have as little clipping as possible but it seems to mostly lie with the engine itself.

@Oscar Whitkin If you switch to the 'use complex as simple' collision preset that should cut a lot of clipping (perhaps all)...

Physics and unreal are not together, y grapcis and light are amazing but what about improve the Physics a little more? thats why every unreal game give that feeling "oh its made on unreal" (negative)
