Unfortunately, I was not able to secure a head end ride in the cab car as the first 3 cars were closed (as much as I tried to from the amicable Conductor. I can’t blame him. He’s just doing his job). As a good substitute hopefully, I captured the ride with lots of radio chatter and the cab car provided a musical accompaniment with its melodious mellow chimes, clearly the most beautiful horn I’ve heard on a cab car or locomotive in these times. (The K5LLA is still my favorite). I did my best to eliminate slow running with no radio transmissions. Around Alexandria, we encountered heavy congestion and the accompanying heavy radio traffic.
