I prefer Arianas. I think the fact the song is about REM Sleep and being dreamy it suits Arianas soft, airy dreamy-esc tone.

Pharrell produced it, gave it to Beyoncé I think in 2011, she recorded it but than never realesed it and that's how Ari got it later

I honestly love both versions. However, Bey’s version grips me more for the bridge and her delivery. Both ladies killed it. Ariana gave me that high school like feeling but also growing into a woman compared to someone whose already been married and etc. Both versions are top tier. Ariana is that girl. Beyoncé is also that legend. There should be zero drama. 🤷🏾♂️

Ari can’t really see Bey when it comes to low notes. She’ll get eaten up everytime. However, Ari shows restraint of a chill song like this and makes it cute. Beyoncé tried to do a bit too much at points but her arrangement was better.

Mrs Carter def ate my girl Ari on them harmonies but Ari had that chill vibe on lock with them leading vocals. Both are bops! 💯 🔥
