Thank you for this video. I am trying to set up VS code for my own project environment. While setting the mainframe env via Zowe, I am asked for more questions beyond "The encoding for download... ". I am not sure whether is correct to do a set-up of VS codes for my project (or (a security breach). But I am curious and want to do this. Can please guide me - do I need to work with my security team or manager before attempting this.

I am on a project we are not using vs code as an IDE, how can i use it? How can i connect vscode to my ip on my session to see my datasets and compile and do program basically on vscode

for MTM 2021 contest I am getting a java home variable path not specify a valid file path, any idea how to fix it?

Hi. After setting up the profile I receive the following error. I have already reset my password/username and restarted the whole process and I still receive the error. What am I doing wrong or what steps should I follow to fix this? "Error: Profile Name mtm2020 is inactive. Please check if your Zowe server is active or if the URL and port in your profile is correct. Source: Zowe Explorer (Extension)"

🤒💔🤒 Hi @AngelHack Mr.Jef, please I have a problem here, [completly a newbie] I did cross the level-1, but in level-2, just broke the VSC while trying to find the file [ MTM2020.PUBLIC.JCL and look for the member named CHK] step. And created a folder on local HD in response to the message [You have not opened a folder yet]... that's the last time I saw the mtm2020 folder under the Data Set. And now the ➕ sign is not working/ to get the option to add a profile. Thank you.

Hi! I've tried to follow those steps, but when I try to configure my connection to z/os, putting my login, password, the ip for connectios, etc in the end I receive the error message "Error encountered when loading your Zowe config. Click "Show Config" for more details.". I tried to find an answer in the internet, but I'm having trouble to find a solution. Do you have any suggestions in how to solve this? Thanks!

Why not show how to install Hercules MVS emulator and connect to that? If a can't cheaply emulate a Mainframe on a laptop, this a waste of time. If IBM wants people to learn Mainframe programming and Mainframe system management, they need to act like it!
