We get behind the wheel of a REAL DEAL Type-R in Osaka, Japan🇯🇵
It was a bit of a mission out to Wakayama but all was well when we arrived to OMOREN, where our FD2 rental car was waiting for us😍
Omoshiro Car Rentals offer a great selection of JDM sports cars, as well luxury car options & they have multiple locations all over Japan near many major cities.
We enjoyed our i-VTEC equipped 8th Gen Type-R for a few days, driving through Osaka, Wakayama & Nara while making a few stops in-between for some good eats & the essential “konbini” breaks. We even visited an Up-Garage Riders store to search for some cool JDM goodies to bring home!
Take a right-hand DRIVE with us as we cruise the streets of Japan in this badass K-series screamer!

Its so expensive for a fd2r here in malaysia although its 10-12 years now.. thats why we prefer a fd2 and converted to fd2r halfcut.

In US we don’t have any FD2, only FA5! It is popular to convert to FD1 and FD2R here as well.

My mrs drives my FD2R here in australia like that too . pumps the seat up slides it forward - forgets how to start it cause doesnt have foot on the clutch - but onces she takes off she drives it pretty hard ahahaha- glad you enjoy driving a pure fd2r

How is the clutch on this one? I rented the FD2 from the Chiba location and the clutch is so fried…

No clutch issues on this one, damn that’s a bummer though. The only thing I noticed was a bit of vibration noise from the exhaust but otherwise it was in decent shape.
