Sorry for late reply. To explain how this check valve nozzle works, inside the check valve has a tiny disc which placed in cavity. The inner side towards the metering is a flat nozzle where the disc can sit flat for blocking and the other side of the disc towards the venturi is a retainer with finger to hold the disc without blocking the fuel on negative pressure. A finger retainer is similar to holding a plate up with your fingers. Now the main function: the check valve nozzle allows the fuel to flow into the venturi main jet during down stroke of the piston pressure when venturi creates a suction and blocks the air from going into the metering during negative pressure. @dtnicholls1 I haven't tried it for long term use but it seems it resist with petrol. There are types of thermal insulation whis pure silicone which is much better. The one I demonstrated on this video is not pure silicone insulation. There is inner layer of fabric and silicone was only outside layer which like won't survive for long term use. As long as you can find a fuel resistance silicone or rubber with 0.6mm thickness will do. It's main purpose is block the valve in one direction. VARIETECH

It's ok to use carby cleaner on rubber orings. The carby cleaner is less strong than any other carby cleaner on the market. The most concerning when using carby cleaner is not the carburetor but inhaling the mist of the carby and direct contact with skin. Best not to use the carby cleaner for initial cleaning of the carburetor instead use water, detergent or the 5 star 3-in-1 degreaser. I used Shellite in cleaning parts and carburetor body and use only the carby cleaner for jets and nozzle including main jet check valve. Nitrile rubber orings have high resistance to petrol, oil and solvents. Only the gasket and diaphragm, I won't use the carby cleaner to clean them. One thing, carby cleaner is not cheap and to minimise expense, I won't use carby cleaner for cleaning the engine, dirts and gunks. Hope you found this answer useful. VARIETECH

Thank you for your very detailed and well informed reply you are a very knowledgeable man! I have learnt a lot from watching all of your videos. I have some 5star also export degreaser, I also have brake cleaner which I guess is less potent than most carby cleaners and more effective than degreaser, I'm not too sure if the brake cleaner is worth a try or not. You are right about the carb cleaner being bad for skin I always wear gloves and use sparingly $$ :) cheers thanks again

This GX22 GX35 carburetors have only one adjustment on the middle of the rotary valve on the middle of the throttle. Some carburetors e.g. for 40cc engine have secondary adjustment for H on the main body controlling main jet fuel. Unfortunately this carburetor doesn't have secondary adjustment normally located the side of the main body. Thanks for watching our video and subscribing to our channel. Thanks for your support.
