Vudu Shrimp Catches A Redfish Limit In The Marsh Creek Kayak Fishing

With water temps in the low 50s I fished a deeper creek that held some nice redfish today. I didn't see a single sign of bait or fish in shallow, which is typical when the water temp is really cold. Winter Time fishing patterns

Nice Justin! We got skunked today other than a blue crab and a six pack of oysters which went well with the 🍺. It was 48 water temp in our neck. Purdy windy so we didn't travel far. Still a great day to be alive.😉 Gator

For three weeks now I’ve been using the smaller Vaduz Egret Shrimp with the Flounder Pounder ProCure scent. I think the smaller Vaduz is a better match for the hatch at this time of the year. That small Chasebait Flick prawn may also work. I’ve caught flounder, Sheepshead, black drum, red drum and trout by fishing it super slow from the shore to deeper water. In fact, I’ve got the Texas slam the last two times out. Who said winter fishing was a waste of time? Keep putting out the good videos.

Thanks Robert! They have some great action and look very realistic and they hold up. Still looks like a brand new lure after those 4 reds. Winter has become my favorite time of year to fish! I use to get skunked on those cold days because I was fishing too shallow

I picked the vudu for the chartreuse tail since the water was stained. I'll try the prawn in cleaner water

Do you keep fish on a stringer and how do you keep them from going under your kayak and getting caught in your pedal drive?

If I keep fish (rarely) I use a bag cooler bc stringers are a pain. They will go all around your drive as your sitting still on a stringer. You can shorten your stringer when you anchor or drift so they can't wrap up in the drive

Yes I liked them. That one Comes with 1/8 ounce already on it kinda like a jig head. I don't use leaders on soft plastics
