You guys are no strangers to paying homage to the greats, so I propose a new track inspired by Deodato's "Tahiti Hut." I know you've got the chops to give it that signature Vulfpeck spin while keeping the essence of Deodato's masterpiece. Imagine the irresistible blend of your tight rhythm section, punchy horns, and infectious melodies with tropical vibes. It's a match made in funk heaven. So, what do you say? Can we look forward to a Vulfpeck x Deodato-inspired jam? I have no doubt that you'll knock it out of the park and leave us all dancing in our living rooms. Keep on groovin'.

I saw one kinda like that used by quite famous polish bassist Mirosław Stępień - he told me one time about this stand (used for fretless when he played in one song on bass and... accordion) was... a percusion stand and this fretless (any Wiesław Długosz 5string) has threaded hole in body... just maybe the most solid bass-stand in the world 😅

Every musician... - and any human wanting to claim himself as musican - should think like this about other bandmates... Music band should be - a complex and beautifull hebrew word - „EHAD”, „ONE”, united (not exactly means „uniformited”), being interested, communicative and understandable about each other. This is an essence of bandview of many world-famous musicians and bassists :)

@@WillyFranklinOnBass normally I’m inclined to agree, but when I think about Jack selling something, it’s always couched in so much irony and meme material - “No more government subsidies for active basses!” is prime Stratton marketing, but this Jack feels like the genuine music maker and not the figurehead of Vulf. Joe, on the other hand, totally has his marketing cardigan on though (in the best way!).

@@digitalrudimentor no I had to self teach myself because I lived in a rural area. All I could do as a teen was beg my dad to take me to the music store and hopefully get to ask a bass player how he's playing like that. Aside from that we only had books and pictures online. The point is musicians now have a place like youtube to learn and grow from instead of having to travel to the nearest city hoping to learn from some strangers in a Baileys Bros. To make a negative comment says a lot about yourself. Musicians should be positive and curious. Not cynical and bitter.

@@LMaia14 I think its the opposite, don't spend any money at all. you can become quite proficient on an instrument just watching free youtube videos and practicing, learning songs, etc. there are even enough free resources to learn actual theory and sight reading if you are motivated enough. considering the OP has apparently never heard of a triplet across multiple years of playing though, I don't think they will be very good at learning regardless of the method of teaching.

So, I'm watching Mr. Dart doing lots of playing. Is there close-up video of the appropriate technique? Going slowly, and then building speed? Is there documentation, tabs, exercises written out that he plays, again, going slowly, building speed, with close up video of exactly what he's doing with each hand? How does one develop that 'bouncing' technique that he describes? What about EQ/compression/effects settings to ensure that the attack of the pops and slaps don't overpower the normal plucked notes? The impressive fast playing is... impressive... but we see that in all the other music videos you all have released. And I can't learn the basics and then build on that from watching an advanced player just playing. I know you don't want to give away the "secrets" in a free video, but as far as teaching any instrument goes, I feel like these are the requirements. Close up video. Printed exercises. Technique development. Hand position and exercises, etc. etc. etc. Love Vulfpeck. Thank you for what you do!
