The Kansas City Chiefs advanced to their sixth-straight AFC Championship Game with a 27-24 win over the Buffalo Bills (once again). Patrick Mahomes thew two passing touchdowns, while Josh Allen had three. The Bills had the opportunity to tie the game in the fourth quarter, but Tyler Bass missed the field goal. Colin Cowherd reacts to the Divisional Round classic, crediting the Chiefs performance, along with explaining how the Bills showed they were too Allen-reliant once again. The Detroit Lions advanced to their first NFC Championship Game since 1991 with a 31-23 win over the Tampa Bay Bucs. Jared Goff threw for two touchdowns and while the Lions are arguably one of sport's current best stories, Colin does not see them as a Cinderella story. He breaks down what makes the Lions more than just the typical underdog story.

Detroit is a dominant offensive team, and even though they give up big plays in the pass game, they’ve had a great run defense all year, and they make enough big plays on defense…4 sacks and 2 interceptions yesterday. They’re no Cinderella. They’re just a really good, well-coached team that makes play when they need to.

Every time the Chiefs touched the ball, they looked like they could just toss it and run it down the field in chunks and minutes, not phased by the scary away road game!! Chiefs looked invincible and the only thing stopping them was mecole hardman fumbling the ball away!! I never felt like for a second the Chiefs were gonna lose. Even had the missed field goal hadnt been missed, leaving Patrick Mahomes almost 2 mins and timeouts left, would have marched the field and kicked the game winner with no time on the clock!! FACTS!! 💯

San Francisco had a historic defense, Eagles had one, Bills had one in the AFC Championship game…..All resulted in wins! This Ravens defense hasn’t faced an Elite QB YET!!!!! They faced a badly injured Burrow. That’s it. A good dose of a healthy Burrow, Allen, Mahomes during the season would flaw their stats! They are bad against the run just like the Chiefs and haven’t had any QB that could make plays like Allen, Burrow or Mahomes……Chiefs win this like all the others!

I think it has more to do with no one wants a Midwest team in a flyover state building a winning legacy like the Patriots. In most people’s eyes that right belongs to a east or west coast team with a large fan base. The power and influence of culture, in this case losing culture, cannot be understated. I tuned in to "One Bills Live," which is the local Bills broadcast network run by Chris Brown and Steve Tasker. They were doing an end-of-year analysis. When a caller suggested the problem was McDermott, Tasker went off on a several-minutes-long scolding of the caller. These local Western New York people's dreams are so small that they still celebrate the losing 90s teams that Tasker was a part of. Bills lucky to not have been blown out. Hardman took 7 off the board. Buffalo had 3 fumbles but didn’t lose one. Allen got away with an illegal forward pass “lateral” that led to a scoring drive. Allen almost threw a pick as well late in the 4th. Double the TOP and total plays… still couldn’t win at home. Stop with excuses for Josh. He’s a great player but not a great playoff performer, inconsistent. It’s shameful and disrespectful to Mahomes to compare this dude to him with his all time great playoff resume. Dude already has 13 playoff wins. More than most guys in the hall of fame in just 6 seasons. Allen is a more athletic Dak Prescott lmao

REALITY AND STATS DON'T LIE... THE BILLS ARE half AS GOOD AS THE CHIEFS 1/2....they had possession twice as long, had twice as many plays, and the stats say they were ALMOST even with the Chiefs. the bills defense was battered no-one to defend Kelce down to like the 5th or 6th man. tons of dropped passes that would've been huge big plays. missed fg, bad coaching in the end. Allen was the best player on the field for that game

Bills needed more HELP from the REFS! That lateral that the REFS would not call on 3rd and long on first possession! Kept drive alive for TD! Pacheko was out the last game they played! All year long Chiefs WR have been battling injuries short on players so they run more TE in to rest them! Mckinnon out! Bills only carried 4 LB thats their coaches fault! Chiefs find depth at LB and DB! Bills nope!

Don't let Colin forget that he picked both the LA chargers and the Broncos over Kansas City before the year started. Don't let him forget how he devalued Kansas City after Tyreek Hill was traded. Before the season started back in 2022. One of the best takes Colin said one time is "I don't root for the underdog, I root for greatness". If that were true, perhaps he should be rooting for Kansas City. Clearly he refuses to see it. Why? I can only guess that he is still holding onto the past. Adapt Colin.

@@tedgrowney8981 yea I do and do u realize the ravens can actually score, and run the ball better than anybody, all I said was that the ravens are gonna be able to run the ball on the chiefs because their defense can't stop the run that well, just look at what the bills did against them, also the bills scored a touch down so that's more than 4 points bro do math better. And the ravens are wayyyy better on defense than the bills, the bills didn't even have everyone healthy, neither did the dolphins, and I'm a ravens fan, the chiefs defense is not good at stopping the run while the ravens are a more complete team on both sides, bro ur argument was weak asf

When will will Bills Mafia realize, you could've won that game if you left 6 linemen in to run. @the herd with colin cowherd, you all needed to listen to Nick Wright. The Chiefs had 17 practice games leading up to the dolphins game. Preseason's finally over. Ravens could very well beat them but the Chiefs could very well be on to their next super bowl.
