I work with Drew’s father, and he told me about Drew and Vundabar, I didn’t know what Vundabar was, I thought it was just some local band, but I look it up and I was blown away. I’m glad these guys are doing well for themselves, and I wish them nothing but the best.

@@snailsarecool0.1 i mean it kind of is a sad song, look at the chorus "My teeth are yellow, hello world" "Would i feel a little better of they were white like yours" "I need to purge my urges" "Shame, shame, shame" "I need an alabi to justify" "And somebody to blame" I'm guessing they made it relaxed to mask the underlying depression. In some people, this can be reflected in real life too.

This song helped me get through a ROUGH patch in my life. I felt like everyday was an absolute hell everything felt completely wrong and uncomfortable like metaphorical ants constantly crawling in my skin. This song was one of the few things that managed to help before I got out of that relationship... Kinda a vent but like who's really gonna see this c'mon. I possibly have a really REALLY horrible mental illness and being in that toxic relationship made everything go from 10 times worse to 20. Thanks creators for the needed escape! :)

Ésta fué la segunda canción que escuché de ellos antes del inicio de la pandemia, estaba llendo de ilusiones y positivo con mi futuro. Mis ilusiones universitarias se fueron a la mierda después de ello, pero Vundabar me acompañó hasta el día de hoy, y lo seguirá haciendo, levantándome para seguir adelante

The part where they laugh at the end is so wholesome to me. In the video, the people are set on one expression. For example, swimming dude was happy, and phone dude was confused / upset. So seeing them both break their character at the end of the video made me smile. You can tell its genuine lol

Btw if you wanna see something that fits that darker theme, watch "Holy Toledo." Basically he gets pushed around by all the industry execs and makeup guys and PR managers and just kind of smiles tiredly through it as he sings his lines, and at the end it goes, "someday I'll be far away...bullet in the brain cuz my life's a cliche" and if you're really looking for some depression fuel, my friend you've found it. Vundabar deserves so much and I honestly think they could lead my generation into a new version of rock or grunge, but I’m so glad they’re coming up even more. Troubadour is still probably my favorite but this song is what got me hooked on the band lol
