Yes we age with them and they with us. The universality of the message is what I take and the breadth of his appeal offers us a roadmap to bring together this terribly fractured world. We must make beauty and music the centerpieces, along with all other peaceful activities. And, we must isolate those who would tear the world asunder...that must be our take away!

The ending made me emotional. watching Elton John walk down the Yellow Brick Road for the last time and fading away. It's like watching the end of an era and a part of my life saying goodbye. and it also makes me feel old and makes me reflect on my own life. I can remember being in my youth and hearing Bennie and the Jets for the first time. and thought it was such a cool and amazing song. and Elton was young and on top of the world, but now I am watching him retire, and other rock stars I grew up with passing away and have gone down their own yellow brick road. or highway to hell. or stairway to heaven. or maybe they just all checked into the Hotel California. I don't know, but they all added something to my life growing up. goodbye Elton. enjoy the next chapter of your life with your family.

Thanks for your kind insight, John. I first heard "Benny and the Jets" around 1978 when I was 12. That was probably my first favorite from the Master. A superb song with a majestic piano solo...

I couldn't have said it better than that, and how respectful of the audience, so quite and enjoying the artists as he says farewell, wish everyone would behave like that so people could enjoy the music they paid to hear, Love Peace and Respect Rocket Man 💜💜💜

It's a shame that the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour has ended... but Sir Elton deserves it. But I got a question, why did the tour never gone to Asia and South America even though there were plans to go to Asia?
