The wire in question is probably for the heater booster fan. You'd have a wire directly from the battery, another wire directly from the alternator, and a 3rd wire (red with white stripe) that goes to the fuse box.

Yes it is a ac bus, I will look when I get the chance. Any idea where eit would be on the compressor?
