I've decided to block mine know and have remap has I got cheap egr off eBay and it lasted 500 miles

I unplugged my EGR and took the rear box off the exhaust and put a metre of 2.5 inch pipe in its place. My caddy feels and sounds better

Great video ! Did the EGR replacement solve the bad running and did the dash light go out automatically ? A P404 EM code flashed up on mine the day after a long 600mile journey, hoping its the EGR valve 😁

Yes it sorted it and light went off for about a week but then come back on due to buying cheap ebay egr so I ended up deleting egr valve and having it mapped out. So don't buy cheap one off ebay 😂

Hi , having some problems with a Caddy sdi , can You please tell me something, my inlet manifold flap closes normaly when i shut the engine off , but when i start the car after 2 seconds it almost closes and pops a p0400 egr error , vacuum valve and egr are new , the inlet manifold flap is old but it does the same with other part , is IT normal for sdi ? Never had one before , only tdi

Yes that normal check wires under airbox where it bends you have to take tape off and check the wires make sure no splits hope this helps I try do a vid over week end showing what to do. also check fuses
