Suggestion put a plastic bin liner in the tray to make cleaning up easier. If you use it opened up you can then cut off a corner to put the old oil in the empty new oil jugs for taking up the recycling tip.

A good tip for next time :) We did have the cleanout that box a fair bit, but luckily our local recycling center took the oil otherwise we were struggling to find out where to get rid of it!

Thank you for this video!! I have bought a VW Crafter 2007, I m converting it myself and hate not knowing how to do basic stuff like replace the oil!! Now I do ;)

Legends. Looked under my van today and saw oil 🥴. Traced it back and found it was that what your taking off. It needs the top plastic seal that you said you never got. Make sure you change them at some point just to be on the safe 👍

Ah that's good to know - we might also buy a spare plastic cap since the plastic is already a eating down as we undo it more than once but thanks for the tip 👍

The oil drain plug should have a magnet in it to check for metal particles. Or you can just run a magnet through the tray.

Despite being "europarts" yes, seems like it's just UK registrations unless you change the sites language (France, Germany or Ireland) - although you can manually put in your car/van's make and model and it will spit it out :)
