I apply glue on both sides, it's much better and safer.

It is not necessary to glue the canvas with foam, but since that is the case in the original, I used that canvas. Some ordinary canvas can also be glued, but the foam gives it a nicer final look. I get the materials from a local supplier of equipment for the auto industry and this is a material intended for headliners with 2-3mm sponge behind. You have the same ones on Ebay.."headliner fabric with foam". Good luck with the works.

Pozdrav. Svako čišćenje krovnog tapacirunga na kraju vodi ka odljepljivanju istog. Mnogi se pitaju zašto?! Zato što ispod platna, odnosno mrežice krovnog tapacirunga ima sloj spužve koja mu daje mekani, luksuzniji izgled, kada je sve novo. Vremenom ta ista spužvica propadne, izgori, izgubi svoju formu.. Korištenjem sredstava za čišćenje koji su ugl. hemijska baza tu spužvicu dodatno ošteti, a i samo trljanje krpom ili spužvom razdvaja platno od spužvice i u nekim slučajevima se odlijepi odmah a u nekim za neki određeni period. Dubinsko pranje će pogotovo oštetiti spužvicu i sve će se odlijepiti. Nadam se da ste dobili željeni odgovor. Pozdrav

Pozdrav. Tokom ljepljenja su prevraćali materijal da nanesu ljepilo i na tim mjestima se spužvica "slomila" i ostali su kanali. Tu ne možeš ništa uraditi. Najbolje je ne dirati ništa. Pozz

Što se tiče nanošenja ljepila četkom može i tako samo da ideš na što kraće etape jer ako ljepilo brzo suši onda moraš tako. Namažeš traku širine 10cm pa zalijepiš štof i sve tako dok ne dođeš do kraja. I nanosiš tanak sloj da nebi protopilo ljepilo kroz štof. Sretno

This is a problem with all cars that use the same type of material, headliner material with sponge. After some time, the sponge burns and then the canvas starts to separate from it. I did repairs on Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, BMW, Mercedes, Lancia, Opel, Škoda, Seat, Volvo, Alfa Romeo, Toyota, Land Rover, Audi, VW, etc. My channel has videos from almost all of these brands listed.

@@VDEdition1 I repaired my Jetta by removing the headliner plastic completely leaving the carton base celan, then I painted all the carton with vinilic paint exactly with the same light gray color.
