So guys, this is the Golf GTi that you have asked for - yes, it's the Golf GTi with IQ Drive - with the full complement of ADAS features and also a wireless phone charger.
of course, with the SST exemption no longer in place, and with these new features, the price has been revised upwards to RM246k, but it is still an excellent package.
We joined a new group for our drive, and it was a rather busy day at Genting.
We had a 'friendly' challenge from a BMW M4, who kept us company on Part 1, but unfortunately, we were
turned back at the GTJ roundabout.
Still, it was a great drive in a
great car.

I will say it here. This is what car reviewers should be doing. As old as you are but your equipments are epic. Instead of us watching the face of the reviewer in the whole video you kept us in your car. We could see what was in front of you, behind you, on the sides and inside of the car. Excellent coverage.

Volkswagens are a solid piece of work. You can feel the heft from opening the door to the steering wheel. The GTI will always remain as the icon of hot hatches Even with the advent of EVs. It's about driving pleasure.

I am on my third one and I have yet to find a car in its price class or even one class up that I would give it up for. Porsche is the only car I would migrate from a GTI to and that is way above the GTI price class.

Yes, and that shows exactly what the potrntial of both car and driver is. Hopefully other drivers can make the effort to improve their skills, and make the world a better place of good drivers. Most accidents are caused by driver error.

Pulled away when every time Uncle YS turn in and turn out of the corner. M4 can only close the gap on the straight line (power advantage). Very nice drive from Uncle YS!

That was pure skill uncle...M4 most prob AWD with more than twice the power & torque. The GTI is neutrally balanced handling, wt uncle on the wheels nothin can keep up 👍

The GTi is very agile, I must say, and on those roads it is not about power, although you do need a certain minimum power to stay ahead.

From 6:57, you see, Uncle YS, he also eats noddles with the silver dipsticks and do this day in and day out, ah, and his feet are forged with nerves of steel and bionic flesh, so much so when he takes a corner and accelerate, the co-driver, next to him is wondering, 'niama, how the fu..', but Uncle YS doesn't even flinch his cheek bones, steady like a hawk focusing on the prey. I've notice 'life' almost came out of the co-driver at some instances, mouth gapping, but at that very same time, Uncle YS, he stares and gives no flying fucuk (dried beancurd), his concentration is on point. Sifu YS, thank you from showing us your experience. Props to Nathan.

The RS 280 Cup is 280 hp. This one is about 240hp. 40 horses is not much different on this mountain: skill still matters.

On some weekends they block off the road from GTJ to the Casino/ hotel, and screen cars. Sports cars and fast or loud cars are not allowed. No reason given. It is a private road, after all.
