In this video, I show how to replace all of the vacuum lines, the N75 valve, and the check valve for the vacuum system on my 2001 VW Golf TDI. This is a very similar process with the mk4 Jetta and Beetle TDI models. You'll need two different sizes of vacuum hose for this project, a 3mm and a 5mm hose. About 10 ft. (3 meters) of the 3mm hose is needed and about 7 ft. (2 meters) of the 5mm hose is needed. This project can be frustrating if some of the hoses won't come off, so you might need to cut them off of some of the fittings. Just be careful not to cut yourself or any of the plastic fittings! I hope that you find this video helpful. Feel free to comment below and please subscribe!

Look for a simple way to maneuver around things. You might have to remove a few hoses to access it. Just have patience!

Great Video! Today I replaced all of them with just the 3mm hose and now the car is not going as it should.. Would you mind to write down or suggest/make a video of how hoses goe, but all of them, and which ones are the 3mm and the 5mm ones.. PLEASE
@Corysdiyauto

Thanks! I highly recommend replacing one hose at a time so that you don't get confused. The smaller fittings will only work with 3mm hoses and the larger fittings will only work with the 5mm hoses. I will eventually try to make a video showing the differences.

@@vampir335 It stands for "Variable Nozzle Turbine" and this vane mechanism can jam from carbon build-up. This is why it's important to accelerate hard once in awhile to clear some of the carbon out and allow the turbo vanes to move more freely. I hope this helps you.
