Thanks Fahad! I have been driving with a heavy foot ever since i remapped the car and i still get the same mpg since before the remap when i drove more calm. So yeah, I would say remap definitely helped with mpg.

Hey! I've had no major problems with this car since purchasing, at time of purchase the cambelt/waterpump was changed and I have done a major service since owning the car. Mileage currently is around 85K. Nope not serviced the gearbox but I probs should soon!

Yes bro, bigger wheels means a less comfy ride, lower top speed and needing to brake harder. Nothing major though it's just something you notice and get used to

Hope you went for the bigger wheels they look so much better on the MK7. It depends on the weight of the wheels you’re going for. If there is less unsprung mass you will accelerate and stop quicker. Like he said in the video some good tyres are well worth it. You will notice an improvement in acceleration, braking and steering with good tyres (depends on the tyres though, I went with Michelin PS4S and the braking and lateral grip is phenomenal). The only downside is with wider tyres, more grip but the increase in friction means worse fuel consumption.

The bulbs i've linked have all been fine so far and no errors thrown. It's always hit or miss with LED bulbs though bro so best bet is to search for 'canbus error free' bulbs and hope for the best lol

Where did you get the number plate lights? The canbus ones i bought also gave me an error on the dash

Pretoria's will look great! The dashcam is powered by a wire to the cigarette lighter. The reverse camera has 2 wires, 1 which plugs into the dashcam at the front and 1 wire which you 'tap' into the reverse lights power wire- so that when you put the car in reverse, the reverse camera comes on too.

No battery drain either :)

Sounds about right. Change the timing belt and water pump about every 3/4 years, if they go your engine is gone and then your whole car is gone

Yup i have the Mib1 system but the camera isn't wired to the mib1 bro. Basically i got a dashcam that has front and rear camera. so i use the dashcam screen for the reverse camera if that makes sense. to wire to the mib1 you gotta code and it's long

I bought the Carista dongle from Amazon, it plugs into your OBD port and via bluetooth connects to the Carista app you download on your phone. From there they have a few customisation options which is like 1 click, you wait and it's activated. My fav option is to permanently disable stop/start!!

The carista app gave me a 1 month trial but if you want to use it long term you have to pay a subscription fee- or like me, you can just use another phone and keep using trials when you need them lool
