I remember when this promo was released. It brought a tear to my eye. The writing tugged at all of the heart strings. Wish VW could do the Beetles legacy proud and bring back a simple, reliable and fun car. Thanks for posting this.

Funny I had a brand new 2000 Beetle just like this. Same color and everything. Turbo too. It was a blast to drive.

When I searched I found a really crappy upload of it with different music - guessing it was a download from VW's site back in the day!

Wonder if they showed this video at auto shows, in particular, wasnt it the 94 Detroit show the car debuted at??
