The Volkswagen Passat B7 2011 to 2016 is a fantastic used car buy in 2022 . This is my detailed review
It’s a special category in which you can find cars from BMW , Audi , Mercedes and even Skoda , especially the superb for the same price in India .
We go over all the features, Maintainace costs , common problems & faults etc in this video .
I am a big fan of talking cars , their recent used German cars video was a big factor in me picking this Passat up .

Got the b7 on a 2014 2.0 tdi bluemotion had it 6 months and loving it so far. Change the oil regularly and they run forever mines the executive one with sports leather seats alloy trim 6 speed Manuel it as everything from duel climate to auto lights wipers ect cruse control. Well built moters no wonder the taxis in uk mostly use these

Excellent review. Passat is one of the finest executive sedans. This car never ages! Coming to maintenance parts, the air filter, fuel filter, oil filter and cabin air filter should not cost more than 5k. Entire timing kit including water pump should be available for about 15k. VW approved engine oils are expensive (4.5k to 6k) depending on brands 😊

Hello Friend, this is not the 2011 face-lift version. The face-lift version has massaging function for driver seat, etc. I bought 2013 model just in this Mar 2022 which had clocked 1,43,000 KMs.

@@THE-UG I don’t live in the city as such but general quick trips to the shops in the 30’s… just drove 188miles on the motorway and it cost about £20-25. Cruise control at 70mph is very fuel efficient.

@@THE-UGthe engine takes a couple of miles to warm up and achieve maximum efficiency and also first gear is very short so it’s easy to over rev before shifting to second. Also it doesn’t really like driving at 30mph in 4th gear… the gear ratios are definitely more suited to longer motorway distances when you can sit in 6th at 70mph and get really good mpg. Hope that helps mate.

I have owned the Superb which has the same 2.0 TDI CR with DQ250. Despite it's size, these things are a hoot to drive. Only downside is that maintenance gets really expensive once these cross 6-7 years

Hi Siddharth, What do you think of a 2012 VW passat highline TDI DSG (80000kms) in 2024? Is it worth 5lacs? Should i worry abt DSG ? Are you facing any issues?

Sounds like a fair deal , I would suggest you to change the DSG oil and filter as soon as you acquire the car along with a general service . Also check the condition of the flywheel ,

If the service history is good , then it should be reliable . Keep in mind the timing belt and water pump should be changed at 1 lakh kilometres , make sure that has been changed or else you can bargain on the price with the seller . Also check the fly wheel , mine was on the way out at around 1.1 lakh kilometers.

@@kr63 the flywheel including labour charges came to approximately 35000. Work was done outside , not at a vw service Center

@@thatcarguyindia is it running fine after that? There no problems cause of getting it done outside right? VW quoted me over 1lk for the flywheel and labour and I’m a little paranoid about the quality of the job if I get it done outside since it’s an important part. Also, thank you for your reply.

It’s pretty reliable just keep aside around 1 lakh for Maintainace with in a year of you purchasing it , just factor in that cost when you purchase the car . Insurace will come to around 12k . I paid 5.2lakhs when I bought it six months back

Learn Malayalam Tamil Telugu Kannada so you will understand what south Indians speak! and India is not just for Hindi-speaking people!
