@@carswnova After a close inspection and a lovely test drive I ended up purchasing the car. Price was quite low, lower than a recent 110 bhp+ Golf with similar mileage here in Holland. Everything clicked, and the people at the garage gave off good vibes. I get a year of warranty on it, including the aftermarket parts. Manual shifting, 3 doors, sport pack, and it has the old school red-grey upholstery. Very happy man :) Here is a pic: i.imgur.com/EGwUK9C.jpg I'm going to replace the blackened logo's for original chrome ones, and increase the ride height a bit. Air intake, exhaust, suspension, dampers, mirror caps and rims are aftermarket. They'll also inspect the water pump... And it comes with somewhat fresh Michelin summers. Seems the previous owner was a bit of a rally fan (like myself).

The best of the Polo 6 in my opinion.

They were out for a limited run my brother so it's actually been a little difficult to find one. But it's actually more reliable than DSG half the problems are gone with a manual. Also. Thanks for watching 😃

I have you agree with you, I prefer the manual over DSG. A button attached to a module actuating solenoids isn't my cup of tea. They tend to have some catastrophic reliability issues as well. Manuals always win

Limited production run that was meant to keep going but a lack of support and sales so VW decided to ditch it. I'm from south africa

Speaking specifically about the DSG automatic, its different from the normal torque converter automatics, it has its reliability issues that relate to its complex design. The one optioned with this version Polo GTI used a dry clutch system which resulted in the car being unable to shift and grenading the clutches and mechatronic unit, worse if they have not been maintained which is what mostly happened. The manual is easier to service, less complicated because you are the one operating the gears. I'd suggest you go for a course, these gearboxes can be fun if used correctly
