Install an Aftermarket Radio (Head Unit) with Apple Carplay, and Android Auto (Alpine iLX-F905D) into your VW T6.1 & Retain Factory Menus and the factory SOS E-Call System.
If you visit your local Volkswagen Dealership, they will probably tell you that it is not possible to install an aftermarket system, let alone retain your factory menus & settings if you get an Aftermarket Radio installed... but we beg to differ!
Within this video, we demonstrated that it is possible to have a nice 9" HD Floating Alpine iLX-F905D (Halo 9) and retain SOS E-Call plus the vehicle's factory menus & setting with ZERO ERRORS showing!
The most impressive part is that it has now opened up the possibility of having exciting Aftermarket Radio/Head Units in your Volkswagen T6.1 Transporters after previously being presented by many as an impossible and unachievable goal.

Hi I currently have a vw passat b8 2017 with discover navigation Could I change to an alpine X903D-G7 and could the factory menu module you have used in this video work with the X903D-G7. Many thanks

Has the virtual cockpit display lost the map function because of the stereo swap?

Did he change the speakers and have sound deadening? I will get a full system because the stock is terrible

Hello Marine, Thank you for getting in touch! Possibly, but they were not fitted by us. We are constantly upgrading the audio/speakers within T5.1's, T6's and T6.1's, so we understand your point.😁 Kind regards, Advanced In-Car Team
