I had a trade like this last one today. Price action didn't make it back to VWAP - I took that as strength in the momentum down, because the market didn't even let it get back to this key level Where a lot of people are watching and waiting to act.

Interesting. I've never seen someone use both VWAP and St. Dev Lines at once in this way, and I've been looking for a way to incorporate a volatility technical with my VWAP. Thanks for the idea, you are a good teacher.

Hey again Barry, what's the difference if any, between VWAP & Anchored VWAP? Is one better than the other? I can't find AVWAP on TOS, so not sure if it's that important, but is there a way to get it on TOS anyways? As always, THANK YOU!!!

vwap is just anchored vwap that puts its anchor at the start of every day, i guess im a bit late to answer you though haha

Contact whoever provides your charting software to see if they offer it. Otherwise, you may find that a user in their discussion boards may have posted it.

VWAP is the same on every chart... If you are talking about the other lines on the chart, those are standard deviation lines. I know Standard Deviation lines are available for ninja trader and ThinkorSwim.

He's using a 3rd party. NT doesn't have that many SDs to chart along with vwap, if I recall correctly from a month ago.

It's only for day trading stocks and futures.

This is a "half baked" system and shouldn't be traded by itself. It needs a momentum indicator (CCI) to point out the return to the VWAP and probably a Market Profile with indicators to show the VAH and VAL. You shouldn't call it a strategy...

You are right. The market can keep going in the same direction after tagging the second and third deviation bands.

This chart pattern was $tsla 8/06/2022 your commentary was spot on and could see the price action especially when play kept down trending after retrace, if you got out you could have still made money but not a lot (but some of us stay in trades we should cut) 🥲 great vid! Thank you
