Always loved W.A.S.P. - was also awesome how Johnny Rod was a great fit with Blackie for vocals. Coked out or not, he had energy, charisma and could sing while swinging that bass around. Too bad it had to fall apart. But such is show biz

I was there too. 18 years old and medal mad. Donington 92 was my first ever concert, W.A.S.P were 2nd band on after Scottish rockers, The Almighty. In a few days time it will be the 30th anniversary of this show. Where does time go?

This is the first time I've seen this footage. I was there at Donington '92. This has to be the best Donington ever because ALL the bands on the bill did really well. This was one of the stand out performances of the day although I seem to remember the sound being a bit dodgy during WASP's set. Thanks for uploading. Great stuff.

I love WASP. I got into them around 1992 with their Crimson Idol album. I then got their earlier albums. Their self titled debut album is absolutely brilliant. Been a fan ever since.

I'm a big Slayer fan, and to me the whole Show No Mercy album sounds like WASP. WASP even had a song called Show No Mercy. The first album didn't get dropped til 1984, but Blackie and the guys had been playing it onstage at least a year before. Slayer lived in Huntington Park near the Sunset Strip in L.A.

I guess they figured it was a better show than the '87 appearance. They didn't trash the gear/stage at the end. It wasn't raining as much, and Johnny Rod was having fun! :) They also recorded it for release as well. I remember BBC radio recorded the '87 appearance for the Friday Rock Show, but Blackie didn't think it was good enough for broadcast!

It sounds way better than this video version. I just got it yesterday.
