This is from a concept album so it's a bit out of context. Still an amazing song. The Crimson Idol is, to this day, still one of my top records. Great story, songwriting and vocals about the rise and fall of a rockstar.

W.A.S.P. is a really REALLY underrated band in my opinion. i would highly suggest listening to chainsaw charlie, or some newer stuff like babylons burning. you cant go wrong with W.A.S.P. man

WASP is probably my favourite band after IroN Maiden the band is actually better in the second half of their career IMO compared to the first half (From Headless Children on). The song you reacted to is from Crimson Idol my favorite WASP album. Check out the Albums Headess Children, Crimson Idol, Unholy Terror, Dying For The World and the First Self Titled album.

As stated below you have to listen to the whole album (The Crimson Idol) . It tells the story of Johnathan. An abused runaway that finds everything he ever wanted except the one thing he needed. Queensryche: Operation Mind Crime is another album that tells a full story. Both are worth listening to front to back. Secondly, even though this is technically a WASP album, its really a Blackie Lawless Album, he wanted to release it independently from what I had read, but the record company packaged it as a WASP album even though the only member of WASP that is actually on the Album is Blackie. Everyone else is studio musicians that have been in other bands.

You should react to W.A.S.P. - Golgotha, a very powerful song and a must watch video. Blackie is one of the best singers but never gets the credit he deserves. Cheers from Australia.

This song is off the masterpiece "The Crimson Idol" by WASP. The song is about a man that finds out that fame is an illusion! Another great listen is "The Great Misconception of Me" by WASP. Early WASP was more of a "shock rock" band. As Blackie Lawless got older his song writing and recording techniques became more sophisticated.

Wasp was one of the bands attacked by the P.M.R.C. in the 80's . Their name W.A.S.P. stands for we are sexual perverts (or so that's the gimmick they used) because they have some very nasty songs like, "I F#CK LIKE A BEAST" and "95 Nasty". I believe this song may reflect how all the years of playing such dark music has affected Blackie Lawless(singer). Check out a new song of theirs called "Golgotha" because it seems like a deep cry out to Jesus.

Some may not agree with me and I’m no one too talk politics.How ever after what has occurred this election ,and how Mr Trump was treated and we the people.how ever this song made me think of no matter how many hate or like this man.and a man he still is.
