this is also a common trend for him. gods try to screw him over because he is to them a "mere monkey demon" and he defies the expectation and logic. like how he literally told the god of death to "fuck off" because they tried to claim his soul early, so out of spite he crossed his name out of the book of death, meaning his soul can never be claimed. effectively making him immortal, then he ate and drank everything relating to immortality and rebirth he could find just because he was mocked for only having one small lifespan by a single god.

I know right. He steals the Peaches of Immortality. He steals some Booze of Immortality. Then I think some alchemist's Pills of Immortality. Like how can you be triple immortal? Maybe there's different levels of immortality or something? I don't know.

@jonathanprince707 in this mythology immortality does have some limits like an immortal could kill an immortal or they're weak to something very specific by layering them wukong effectively covered every weakness he has 7 if I remember right

Yeah except black myth wukong’s protagonist isn’t actually wukong, some theories actually said that he’s just another monkey sent by the heaven to start another journey to the west and I’m thinking eventually he had to fight Wukong which at this point has already become a fighting Buddha and sought to replace him as the next fighting Buddha.

Buddha outsmarted the monkey king.. if it was just a fierce battle face to face that would have had an interesting end also the monkey king was supposed to be the intelligent monkey for which he got outsmarted by Buddha.

Hollywood cgi the last 10-15 years has been so bad. Japanese cgi isnt good either. Chinese cgi has improved leaps n bounds.

The staff was not meant to be a weapon, it was just a staff some dragon God used to measure the depth of some parts of the ocean. And when Wukong went to that dragon god for a weapon, he gave this staff to Wukong as a joke. Because the gods didn't respect Wukong and viewed him as a monkey demon. But the staff "accepted" Wukong as its rightful wielder

In the video you can clearly see that he makes the staff bigger to use it to block attacks, to shield him from the enemies who are attacking him and to destroy that giant statue. It's not hard to understand. And it's not ridiculous, just watch the video again, and you'll understand it
