Why even do this? There is a maximum weight limit for the SLS systems in these cars. Ridiculous when people don’t use the appropriate equipment for heavy loads. And then scratch their heads in disbelief when everything starts to break down. Bafoon!

1000 lbs is about 5 people in the car, so it is well within the car load limit. I've driven 5 people in a tiny Nissan Leaf several times when I did Uber and I didn't feel any issue with the car, other than the lower performance when fully laden.

You're actually wrong the trunk weight capacity is 505kg which is a little over 1100 pounds. This is easy information to find online
