That's some fine snow testing. In what state is this filmed? I cannot recognize the plate, I'd guess New Zealand mountainous area

So what is going on inside at 1:20? I see the TCS working and I think I hear the ABS pump clacking away. Is that with TCS on or off? Is the center caution light on the dash flashing? I can't wait to do some more testing of my own! Only situation I've found myslef stuck "unable to proceed forward" was going uphill from a stop where every application of forward power only kicked in TCS. I was trying to crawl as to not spin and gut pulled over into a deep ditch. We've got some differnt snow now so more fun to come. Good video. I like the slow motion so you can see the TCS puttin in work.

Hi Jon, yes the sound you hear is the ABS pump, quite noisy but effective I guess. This is one of many test, in this case, it’s with traction control ON and yes it’s flashing the yellow triangle in the dash. The ground surface is completely icy and we are trying to see how much traction we can get out of the tires and TCS of the ML. So just having fun. Cheers :-)

@@perfotaamg7753 great tests you guys did. I am just trying to judge if mine is working correctly. My ABS kicks in even on windy roads if I run over the center painted line going to fast or too many Gs which isnt much. This system is very sensitive and quick to react. Maybe thats why these ABS motors wear the brushes down so quick... looking forward to seeing more from you

ETS/ BAS do any one help me when someone drive on ice/snow , they use the low range or they remove the system and use ETS/ BAS or other ! So basically what is used for winter snow or ice drive what buttons are activated ! How is activated the 4x4 (only low range or other )? Thanks for info

So what’s up with the braking system being so loud? Never seen it that loud.

You are normally not outside.. the pump is right under the driver headlight.. and not very well insulated so it's easy to hear

These are sweet! We have a w163 in the family that is getting old and I was planning to do a lift on it? Mind me asking how you raised the rear suspension? Spacers?

Rear is 20mm strut spacer aswell as king springs and the front has cranked torsion bars.

full winter tires

Лунаходу не зимнюю надо ставить,а всесизонку, есть очень хорошая Итальянская вездеходовская,а шипы на гололёде хороши. Да и систему стабилизации надо отключать и на ручном переключении.
