W3680 Xeon for Overclocking X58...WORKSTATIONS?! And Chinese X58 boards too?!

2 жыл бұрынYes, overclocking BIOS locked X58 workstations from the likes of Dell, HP, and Lenovo! It IS possible, even without being able to set bclk.
System config:
Dell Precision T3500
Intel Xeon W3680 6c/12t @ 3.33GHz
12GB DDR3-1333
300GB SSD
1TB NVMe SSD on a PCIe riser
MSI Radeon R9 380 (it's dying, hence any artifacting in capture footage)
EVGA W1 600W PSU

Great video! Am still using the same chip too on an HP Z400, it's stable on a x31 multiplier giving 4.1ghz

Love those Z400s! The actively cooled VRMs really let those fly for this method of OCing.

I'm getting only x28 - 3.71ghz on my w3680 z400 😢 If I put higher multiplier everything crashing.

What if you do like 31x for just a single core? The HP Z400s tended to always handle this better than the Dell T3500, owing to the HPs having active VRM cooling.

@@doesitgame My cpu is not overheating i think that he needs more voltage and thats why it keeps crushing on higher multipler. Well i tried x31 on single single core and x28 on the other 5 and in stress test also it crashed. I feel that nothing more can be done on this board.
