In this video, I show how you can calculate the cost of equity and the weighted average cost of capital (WACC) for a private company whose stock is not traded (and hence whose equity beta is not directly observable). The approach in this video can also be used to figure out divisional cost of equity (and WACC) for specific divisions of a publicly traded firm.
