Kataklysm is so underrated! It's insane!!! They are SO DAMN GOOD! I have a been a big fan of them for more than 10 years!

They fell off due to taking far too much time out during each release after 'Heaven's Venom' when they were in their prime. They've only released 4 albums in the past 12 years. They essentially squandered their success after Max Duhamel left the band. Oli is an amazing drummer, but the overall band hasn't been the same since Max left due to him being a MAJOR part of their sound.

Kataklysm were in their pirme when they released 'Temple Of Knowledge' album and they essentially squandered their success after Sylvain Houde left the band. Everything went wrong since then... and since Maurizio (the bassist) became vocalist... Kataklysm in name only... Not as brutal as they were with Sylvain. Now they ended up as a djent metalcore band for the kids.

By far KATAKLYSM is on one of my top favorite Death Metal bands of all time. Greetings from Pittsburgh PA USA. As of lately been jammin' KATAKLYSM AT THE GATES OBITUARY MORGOTH DISMEMBER DEMONS & WIZARDS ICED EARTH and old/new DIMMU BORGIR. Kataklysm definitely needs to come to Pittsburgh PA USA on tour.

Well when it comes to Kataklysm they were awesome and brutal with Sylvain Houde on vocal... It all went wrong when Sylvain left the band... now they just suck playing djent metalcore for the kids

One thing that comes to mind with this band is that they really know how to make heavy music that sounds good. Virtuosity and technicality can easily become musical masturbation that just doesn't sound very good. But Kataklysm knows how to make very pleasing sounds for my ear holes.

I love Metalheads. Im a Metalhead Myself, and what I have seen in videos and so with pop artists and mainstream music celebrities, I really think that Metalheads are much more down to earth. Pop artists and so on just seem so up themselves because they have money or make more them Metal bands, and although metal bands seem scary in their music videos and in live performances, once you speak with them you will find the are the nicest, chilled back people. Sure there's going to be one or two metal bands who arent very nice, the majority of them are. Who agrees with me?

you got it right on the point! I totally agree. The mainstream people say "metal is all about screaming death, annihilation, violence and aggression towards others" that's so not true. the metal genre has so many varieties (death, doom, black, thrash, heavy, power...) and the lyrics are for the majority totally complex and you can often interpret them in many ways. I, for myself, learned a lot of english words by listening to metal. On the one hand haters say "it's only noise" but they won't understand two sentences of a metal song

they have to be nice or they will get kicked out of the cool kids group xD Metal was trendy in the 80s just so u know if u ever meet a 80s metalhead thats whats up with them being different people. Back then you could have metalheads who werent all trying to fit in the cool kids group thus there was megadeth and today there is nothing like that. But srs your comment sounds kinda against itself

mainstream peopel dont even knwo metal exists they dont say ANYTHIGN qabout it. yet alone "thats scream, death, agressions etc" they litterally dotn waste a second saying "metal" cause they have no clue it exists. Just talked to like the hottest girl ive ever seen in my city cause i swore shed be into metal (she looked like a white storm from the xmen) and shes like "whats metal, i like all music" so i walked away xD

And the funny thing is it is one of the the most difficult genres of music when it comes to performing. Miss a note or time it poorly and people will notice it immediately. Takes a hell lot of stamina as well.

They just wrapped up a US tour. I went to the last date of the tour in Spartanburg, SC. It was kickass. Always a favorite band. Rock on guys! 🤘🔥

катаклизм- это нечто чем дальше тем уматнее соединяет многие направления дэт и хеви,хард технодэт....конечсно кроме симфо блэк дум и т.д. но эта группа на 2017 год лучшая из многих.. в десятки лучших! многие группы сдуваются, а эта держит в напряжении чего сегодня не хватает

Super dope concert , i prefer this band live than thier cds thier that legit on stage. Got like a mudvayne ld50 Live in peroriaDVD feel while watching this concert. just found about them from Medidations cd and outsiders video. Thy Serpants tongue Is one of my fav songs from them now. Those face expressions xD. dope double bass drum covers and purge looking shirt singer has. Taking the world by storm + as i slither + At the edge of the world eally got my attention. Like how they mixed in the bass guitar occiosanaly throughout concert and the double bass is powered up and the cymbals aren't over trebled :). Now we need a Kataklysm FT. Decapitated & Thy ARt is Murder collab.-R%
