This Wacky Worm is not powered, unlike the one I rode at Pattaya Sheep Farm. However, it does offer a similar layout. The first turn offers some potential laterals, but is always taken very slowly, especially with harsh braking each time you pass through the station. The last turn is also banked, which negates any nice laterals here as well as slows the train down from the largest drop on the transition into the turn. The snaking hills on the top are an enjoyable element though. Overall, this is a very basic kiddie coaster that I feel has potential, but, is ultimately neuter to appeal to all kids and families while decrease wear and tear on the ride.
Located at the Fort Bend County Fair Grounds in Rosenberg, Texas, the Fort Bend County Fair is the happening thing in the Richmond-Rosenberg area - and all of Fort Bend County - during the last two weekends in September. School Districts even get "Fair Day" off -- the first Friday of the fair - so that families can watch the parade that kicks things off.
As far as rides and attractions go, there is only a small Wacky Worm kiddie coaster. But, a large number of portable spinning flat rides, as well as classic rides like a Merry Go Round, Ferris Wheel. I remember the Mat Racers and walkthrough House from when I was a kid! None of the flats are too wild and crazy, but there were a few the got you going upside down nicely, and seemed to be a step above what similar carnival style amusement parks seem to offer.
As for the animals, on my visit, they were displaying the animals for the Junior Livestock Auction, so they had the winners, mainly from various FFA clubs through the various high schools in Fort Bend County.
