i love your stuff this is only constructive criticism. Brad you're letting things go down. You have started to disappoint me your videos. In the beginning used to be very clear, and had specific sections/topics, and now you do not. You used to also clearly explain the difference between pen displays and a tablet. now you just called pen displays tablets! very disappointed. But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna stop watching.😉 also brad for however long I've been watching you (since the beginning when I subscribed, it's most probably like five years now) I've been waiting for a tablet that is 17-18 -19 inches. Could you ask Wacom if they will make a tablet this size, but like a cheap version like this moveink please, on behalf of me pleeease?

Wacom isn't charging a large sum for no reason. If you require accuracy, Kamvas really doesn't cut it vs a Cintiq. If you are the type who needs it, they are night and day different and you can tell the difference immediately. But at the end of they day, buy what you need and what you can afford at the time. Still, it's a shame that they haven't figured out how to make the technology cheaper without sacrificing the quality after all these years. It's also disappointing that they are going back to a 13-inch at this price. We were supposed to be at 16 inches already.

@@rhoharane the heck you do you mean by accuracy, all other drawing tablet brands have really damn accurate pens. my kamvas 13 and kamvas 22+ have basically the same 'accuracy' as the wacom Qintiq 16 I have. What you say is no more than a placebo of getting a "premium device"

Just received mine. Incredible. Perfect quality, no threat of fan noise (like in the bigger Cintiq Pros) and no power adapter. I wish the stand and sleeve was available, but not yet. You hinted and I agree: there is bound to be a 15/16 inch Movink in the future. Let's HOPE Wacom supports 2K resolution and not stick with 1080p on that.

As an animator, I've been in the market for a portable screen tablet for a while, still using an large Intuos pro. The ipad pro is appealing but Im not keen on the feel or iOS. The Movink to me, is a great step toward what I'm interested investing in, but, the 1080p limit is not great. To me, it's missing the mark, and would like to see a 16inch with 1440p for those higher end users.

The Galaxy Tab 120hz feels great and I use the Wacom One pen which is okay but it's not the same as the higher quality Wacom pro pens. This is very close to what I'd like but with 120hz options and slightly larger maybe around 16-20 inches. I don't know if I need 4k at this size. I’m struggling here a bit. It’s vaguely bigger than an iPad Pro. You still need a computer to run it, bringing it closer to iPad price. Unless it’s a software thing, it just feels there’s a miss here from Wacom. Now…. Boost that screen up to 19” or so, I, interested…..
@PeterSatera
@PeterSatera 17 күн бұрын
a 19 is a little too large to comfortably sit on your lap like an ipad. 16inch 1440p in my view is when I'd buy.
@RichardSilvius
@RichardSilvius 17 күн бұрын
It’s a software thing. There are some desktop only softwares, like Toon Boom, that don’t support iPads as a drawing tablet. At least… not without an $80 a year subscription to Astropad… and then there’s the drawing experience. IPads are really nice… but as a professional artist drawing on one of these 8 hours a day… a cintiq is just plain nicer to draw on. I’m a digital nomad artist that regularly uses Toon Boom. So for me this is a no-brainer upgrade from my 13” cintiq pro… mainly because of how thin and light it is but also because FINALLY I don’t need a rats nest of cables plus (another) power brick to use it.

@@RichardSilvius good point. I use an ipad when I've got suitable work for it, or want something for in front of the telly. I love working on my 21" cintiq, and would love something even bigger now. Software I use is clipstudio (rubbish on iPad for many reasons), and rebelle which is only on computer. PS sometimes (soooo wish i could dump adobe...but clients...) and z-brush. I don't mind using a computer, esp a powerful laptop, its just real estate on iPad is the reason i don't use it for more than in front of TV work. I'd use other software on iPad otherwise to get the job done. But if they went bigger, at that thinness it would be easy on the lap. Main thing I'd love a combo for is the other side of my work doing live illustration for conferences. Which is when i'd jump at a 19" or even a 21"

@@RichardSilvius I completely agree! For extended use or animation work, a computer system is still necessary, as it is more convenient than the iPad Pro. Although I own an iPad Pro, I ultimately use the large Cintiq Pro at home for my creative work. Does it always have to be plugged in? I went with the iPad pro a few years ago, because I need to be able to "spin" my drawing table around without wires. When I was a kid, I used to turn my notebook sideways and spin it to get good angles. Ya know, before they let you pinch and flip the screen itself. I draw just for fun, so I don't have a desire to learn how to use something tethered. I might just stick with the iPad.

Depends on what you use them for. iPad is limited by the OS, and you don't have all the professional apps that are on Desktop computers.

procreate or csp for ipad or all the shitty android apps vs choosing tons of different art programs- you decide lol
@zendragon6

@pb5335 there's definitely more than just Procreate and CSP for iPad now. I use those two, but also Fresco and Illustrator for iPad and can do all of my work on my iPad currently. There've been a couple projects where I used Inkscape on my Max because it does better Vector tracing, but with Fresco, I can draw directly with Vector with Raster feel and just transfer it to Illustrator for final edits. I'm only a "professional" artist on the side, but it's definitely possible for pros to do all their work on an iPad only. If you're a hobbyist artist, even moreso.

I was talking about the portable or travel setup.. these display tablets still need a laptop to work na.. i don’t doubt the relevance of drawing tablets in a home or studio setting..

Since we were talking about bending and thinness, how easy is it to bend, because if you toss it in your backpack and forget about it, I will not be the one seeing it being bend broken.

1080p ? i guess that's ok for 13" but everyone is so used to seeing higher density displays on their phones and tablets... i dunno.

Hmmmmm!! This is a very intriguing device indeed - and by the sounds of it, you aren’t too bothered by the 1080p?

This is a huge question for me! I'm surprised it wasn't covered... I'm debating between an upgrade to the movink or to a new ipad air 12.9 inch. Currently use an older 2nd gen ipad pro 12.9, or my seriously out of date hp zbook.

In my experience on a 13 inch 1080p is just fine, on a larger screen you definitely want more if possible

Only the resolution I would prefer to see 1440p, the thing is to have all the floating tools and pallets around I feel them annoying at 1080p

Movink is perfect as is. Making it larger? Wacom already has plenty of large tablets to choose from. This fits a need artist have been asking from Wacom, for a long time.

I like tablets to be a bit bigger. I'm leaning toward a Samsung ultra for portability. I'm not a huge fan of the new Wacom pen. I tried it on the 22 pro and it wasn't for me. I love the radial menus though.

Thanks Brad. Too small for me. I want something like this but 20" and not cost a ridiculous amount like the pro 22. Otherwise, I will just stick to my giant 24" pro and the Ipad pro for on the go.

I aways like XP Pen series. I think they have a high quality line of products for good prices I do have question for everyone, when is procreate and procreate dreams coming to computers? i was reading and doing some research and heard couple people saying they were going bringing both of the apps to a computer setting. I don't know if it is all true, but would love some insight and feedback about the question I asked
