Either the position of the knife edge or the mass hangaer should be kept constant during the experiment , why varying both at the same time?

Thanks for the comment 👍 Yes this is known. That's a very good initive, you can try that while practicing, this is a run through experiment. Procedures given by the question should be followed anyways.

@@TheLogicTutor Go to settings, click on video quality and select "Advanced". Check for 720p to comfirm whether it's there. There's only 480p max!!! Anyways, the video is really invaluable to me

Not a spring the instructions is string. You can get a string by twisting or doubling a thread.
