My late friend showed me this song when it first came out, tellin me how this is how his addiction was and how hard it was to fight it. He died of a fentanyl overdose in 2022 in December a week or so after he turned 26. He loved this band and I wish he were alive today to listen to it more. RIP Elijah Voshall.

I’m speechless. This album has surpassed my expectations tenfold! Easily my pick for best album of the year, despite the fact that I loved “lost in the waves” by landmvrks! This song though might be the best track of the year for me. It’s literally everything i love about wage war. A jumpy, technical riff, amazing cleans and screams, multiple breakdowns! What more could I ask for for? This is why wage war is my favorite metalcore band.

Man I love how to think outside the box with your lyrics I’m pretty sure this is about being addicted to toxic relationships or not being able to get out of them because like the lyrics said “left it’s hooks in me severed my sense of truth” so you can’t tell the difference and keep getting into or staying in toxic relationships because you don’t any (I don’t wanna say better so I’ll say) different I mean it could just be about drugs but I don’t think so could be tho lol and just so all if you know you don’t have to be in a toxic relationship just cause it’s the only thing you know or because what if you never find another partner there’s a reason it’s called toxic and there are always other people out there

The lyrics "I took one step forward then two steps back. Just another bad habit" This song reminds me , when I relapsed to a bad habit after I was suddenly terminated from my job. I'm a night owl & I had defeated that bad habit of being one when I worked full time. I'm pretty sure it took a few weeks to relapse. But I'm slowly trying to defeat the night owl on my own free will ☺️
