@@Digrient Danke für die konstruktive Kritik, war mir jetzt nicht unangenehm aufgefallen. Ich finde, es ist eine große Herausforderung, ein so langes Video filmisch spannend zu gestalten, und @philomedia hat das sehr überzeugend gemacht.

Thanks, yes I hope to do all ten of them eventually... Interspersed with some Richard Strauss perhaps. I haven't yet decided which one to tackle next!

What an incredible video, and amazing translation too! I appreciate it so much, and the Parsifal video too. The way you explain the themes and play the piano is unlike any other videos I've seen like this. You spent a lot more time in this video just playing the music... This makes sense because as you said the majority of the action travels through the music in this opera. Before watching this video I always felt like the love potion had some sort of metaphorical meaning and you explained this through the music/recitative very nicely. How incredible is Tristan Und Isolde? There are not many moments in music that compare to the ending... especially that last instance of the longing theme where you think it might come crashing down only to rise into pure bliss.

Wow, thanks for your long comment! I appreciate the feedback very much! Tristan is really the peak of Wagner and one of the key works of opera in general. I hope to do videos about the remaining 8 Wagner operas in similar fashion...

Vielen Dank! Früher oder später möchte ich unbedingt alle Wagneropern machen. Diese Videos sind leider ein ziemliches finanzielles Investment, deshalb nicht so häufig. Ich überlege aber, vielleicht die Production Values etwas zu senken, damit ich mehr Videos machen kann. Als nächstes ist Daphne von Strauss geplant und auch ein Überblick über Wagner von Holländer bis Parsifal.

Schade, dass Corinth nicht besser Klavier spielt. Diese Klavierauszüge könnten richtig gut klingen. Naja. Und bisschen selbstverliebt kommt er rüber.
