Diamond Moon Woodworking

Diamond Moon Woodworking

Күн бұрын

Just finished this custom order, and it was definitely more time consuming than originally planned! It measures 16"x16"x3/4", and is crafted from ash and sapele lumber. Hand-drilling the holes is okay for a few boards, but I would definitely invest in a CNC if you build quite a few.

What kind of paint are you using for the marble divots and what type of poly are you using that works well with it? Is there anything with the finish you'd change 2 years ago that would improve the overall lifespan of the piece? Any complications with the paint/poly interactions? Looks great thanks for sharing!

@@Ovenmitt123 it's simple acrylic paint, and as long as you allow it to dry for 72 hours, varnish/poly should not have any issues. However, I'd recently using water-based clearcost, so as fight future discoloration

@@diamondmoonwoodworking9761 Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. Does wipe on water-based poly do well as opposed to the thick stuff? I'm trying to avoid drying poly puddles inside the marble divots.
