In the early 90's John Spencer blocked vehicle access to the public road that ran through his property by erecting a metal gate and bulldozing the road into a large mound. Stony Batter could only be reached by Shanks's Pony. This video is about the walk to Stony Batter along this road to the gun emplacement remains built during WW2 and down to the beach. There we found the remains of some small whales that had beached themselves and an old grave set in the middle of nowhere.
