Wainwright's Coast to coast in 7 days uk ultralight hiking

In August 2021 Huddersfield and Halifax hospitals saved my life several times.
When I left hospital I could barely walk.
I decided to give a little bit back by walking the Coast to coast from St Bees to Robin hoods bay for my #nhscharity.
This film is dedicated to all the hard working #nhsworkers at the #nhs.
A special thanks to my wife Sarahlee and motherinlaw Joan for following me on this epic journey.
See the world through my eyes for 7 days as I walk across England.

Absolutely loved your journey of the c2c, I particularly loved the Yorkshire moors section, so many people just gloss over this section. Congratulations on completing the walk in 7 days.

Insane daily mileage, phenomenal commitment, mental strength, pure drive to do this walk in 7 days with the backstory that goes with it, i could go on. I doff my hat to you sir. I will be attempting this in 2024 in a much more sedate 14 days 😀

Thanks for the great comments much appreciated, I had some phenomenal weather and drive to get this done, I had 10 days to do it in but once Id got to keld I knew I had a good chance. All the best for your crossing in 24. I hope you have a blast 👍🏻

Watched many videos of people traversing the C2C in prep for when I go 2nd Sept. Will be taking 14 days, guide, hotels and luggage transfers (slackpacking). Truly epic crossing and a great video of the journey. Well done.

Done it twice, might do it again. I still have my pebbles, could not bear to be parted! I've done 32 miles in a day (just to be one better!) and I have never had such pain in my feet. I was eating painkillers. I don't do that any more!

Really enjoyed your video - thank you! Watched it about 4 times. Phenomenal effort with your daily mileage (especially your first very and last day). I like the way you start your days super early - it’s almost like you could do a days worth of walking, before most of even started their day of walking. I plan to do it this year and in seven days myself and will use your daily mileages as benchmarks. Thanks again, all the very best.

Start early just before sunrise and finish late. My job involves me walking miles a day and in all weather conditions. On this crossing I got lucky with the great weather.
