Wait For Me II from Hadestown, put through a cathedral filter.
Edit 7/21/19: Fun fact: I made this when I didn't know a damn thing about Hadestown. Special thanks to someone who's now a friend of mine for requesting this song for the filter specifically and letting me have my first real taste of the magic in this musical--before I'd only listened to Flowers and Hiss Kiss, the Riot, both of which were wonderful but didn't have nearly the impact on me as this did.

What really gets me about this song is how it's changed for Broadway, they changed it to were the workers are hoping for Orpheus and Euridycie to make it to the surface, because that gives them hope that they can too

It's almost like they can hear each other, but they don't know which way is one another because of the echo. They hear voices of each other, but coming from all directions, so they don't know which way to go.

Well, you brought back the chills from the first time I listened to Hadestown, a sobbing mess by this part of the musical as I struggled to sing along despite the tightness of my throat. Now, I just hope that you do the entirety of the musical like this because by the gods this is a new and wonderful way to experience this musical.

I have no idea what this musical is, I don’t even know the plot, or the characters. But as soon as the chorus climaxes after the guy says “and like wise the road to ruin”, I just start sobbing. Something about this music is so pulling and moving that me, someone who has no context to the song, can feel deeply about it. Who wrote this? This is an amazing piece of music.

Check the musical out! It's called Hadestown but I recommend the original version and not the Broadway one, but that's just my opinion :/

i absolutely adore how this song is so hopeful in so many ways, with hades and persephone hopeful for them to try again next fall and everyone else hoping to get out of hadestown- it’s such a powerful song in that regard, no matter which version it is

If you could do any song like this from the new soundtrack it’d be really great. The only thing is that a lot of the emotional Orpheus tracks are releasing in July :(
